Delores "Susie" Mae (Carmody) Phillips, 83, Sturgeon Bay, passed away comfortably at home on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, after a long illness. She was born June 26, 1940, in Algoma to Gordon A. and Elda C. (Strege) Carmody.

Delores was known to many as Susie. She graduated from Sevastopol High School in Sturgeon Bay. Delores worked at a nursing home in her early years before she began at Coleman Products in Coleman, WI, where she worked for many years. When Coleman Products closed, she worked at Emersons until her retirement. After she "retired" she worked in home healthcare and cared for elderly women in Sturgeon Bay for many years.

While working on the family farm, she took in and cared for family members while raising her own children. Delores was a Godmother to one of her sisters who thought of her as a second mom.

Delores loved traveling. She visited Canada, Mexico, Florida, Massachusetts, and Arizona using her time share as often as she could and spending time with family and friends. Delores gave consistently to multiple charities and loved being outside. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. Delores loved to spend time with her grandchildren and get together with friends to play cards and socialize.

She was a strong independent woman that made you laugh with her quick wit. Delores was truly loved by many friends and family; she will be forever missed.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Duane Struck; children, Christine Ibrahim, James (Donalee) Phillips, Randy Phillips, Sherrie (Jim) Korpita; grandchildren, April Leah, Regina, Rachel, Elliot, Zak, Serena, Hannan, Adrian, Arianna; great-grandchildren, Kolin, Rayann, Rayna, Savannah; siblings, Rosemary Lesperance, Sally (Gerald) Malvitz, Merry (Roger) Deprey, Gordon (Diane) Carmody, Patricia (good friend, Ken Etersky) Carmody, Jean (Mark) Krueger, Bonnie Carmody; sisters-in-law, Rose Carmody, Amy Carmody; daughter-in-law, Adele Phillips; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
