Debra "Debbie" Thompson, 63, Green Bay, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024 after a nine-month battle with brain cancer. She was born June 5, 1961, in Green Bay to Robert and Darlene (Ambrosius) Miller.
Debbie graduated from West High School and went on to attend NWTC. She married Ray Thompson on April 3, 1982. Debbie worked as a CNA and later ran an in-home daycare for friends and family. She retired from the Howard Suamico School District from their printing department in January of 2021. Following her retirement, Debbie spent her weekends camping in Algoma and took many trips to Florida. She had a passion for reading, knitting, scrapbooking, and making greeting cards. Most of all she loved being a mom.
Her life will be forever cherished by her family. She is survived by her husband, Ray; children, Jenna (Ryne "Bud") Koehler, Jacob (Dana Farber) Thompson, Melissa (Tony) Karl, Breanne (Ethan Shaver) Thompson; brothers, Steve (Lori) Miller, Jim (Nancy) Miller; siblings-in-laws, Carol (Greg) Selner, Bill (Debbie Larsen) Thompson, Michelle Miller; father-in-law, John Thompson; poodles, Bella, Lacey, and Sadie; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Darlene; brothers, Bernie Miller, Bobbie Miller; mother-in-law, Mary Thompson.
Friends and family will gather at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., (The entrance is directly across from BP gas station on Glendale Ave.) from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 22; Mass to follow at 11 a.m. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
