Debra "Debbie" Ann Williams, 69, Ashwaubenon, passed away after a very brief illness Tuesday, October 31, 2023. She was born September 6, 1954, in Oconto, WI to Donald Vandenplas and Elaine LeMay.

Debbie graduated from Oconto High School, Class of 1972. She worked for the Embassy Suites/ Regency Suites for 18 years and was a banquet manager. Debbie spent 17 years working at the Resch Center as a concierge and suite attendant. She retired in 2020. Debbie was the most hospitable and welcoming person you could ever meet. Debbie loved people. She was incredibly personable, making friends everywhere she went. Debbie treasured spending time with her family, and cherished her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as her dogs. Debbie was a survivor of breast cancer for over 17 years. Even when faced with her own battle, she was a courageous caregiver who loved brightening other's days with gifts. Debbie enjoyed country music and oldies, Elvis, trips to South Dakota, visiting Myrtle Beach and taking walks on the beach. She was an avid Packer fan. She met the love of her life, Jim Szymanski at Red Carpet Lanes on a Thursday League Night. They were able to enjoy 33 ½ incredible years together.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Szymanski; son, Bob (Bekah) Williams; grandchildren, Skylar Williams, Mariah (fiancé, Nate Frenz) Williams, Bobby Williams Jr.; great-grandchildren, Maverick, Sophia; brother, Todd (fiancée, Julie Koconis) Pruess; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Debbie was preceded in death by parents, Donald (Ann) Vandenplas and Elaine (Richard) Pruess; sister, Cathy (Gifford) Malcolm.

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 6; Service to follow at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday, November 7 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St. from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mathew Simonar officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto.
