Dean William Flynn, 72, Green Bay, peacefully passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025. He was born December 15, 1952, in Suring to Corky and Lorraine (Whitney) Flynn.
Dean graduated from Suring High School, Class of 1971. He went on to attend UW - Oshkosh. Dean applied for a job at Fort Howard and worked there for over 30 years. He married Krystal "Kris" Osweiler on June 3, 1978 at St. John's Church in Coleman. He was a dedicated husband, father, and papa. Spending time with family was incredibly important to Dean and he visited with them daily. Food was his love language. If you were crying, he would give you a cookie or an orange sherbert push pop. Dean was always on time and hated being late. It was a fantastic trait for his post-retirement job as "Papa Uber" picking up and dropping off his grandkids. He attended as many of his grandchildren's events as possible and supported them in their hobbies. Dean enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, puzzles, and golfing. He especially enjoyed the time spent with Kris trout fishing, sitting on a beach in Mexico, and golfing in the UP. Dean was a man of few words, but will forever be remembered for his one liners.
He is survived by his wife, Kris; children, Kate (Jeff) Osborne, Meagan (Nate) Blazejewski, Kelly (Eric) Deterville; grandchildren, Jay Osborne, Kenzie Flynn, Aaron Blazejewski, Matthew Blazejewski, Dylan Deterville, Morgan Deterville; father, Corky Flynn; siblings, Carol Andrews, Marie Blaser, Sharon (Mike) Jansen; mother-in-law, Delores (Vern) Graveen; siblings-in-law, Rick (Christy) Osweiler, Laurel (Frank) Van Riper, Mia Rhodes, JoAnn (Roger) Behnke, Jeni (Rob) Gray; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Dean was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine; fathers-in-law, Jack Osweiler, Bob Noffke; brother-in-law, Doug Kurek.
Friends and family will gather at St. Agnes Parish, 1484 Ninth St., from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (NOON) on Thursday, May 8; Memorial Mass to follow at 12 p.m. (NOON) with Rev. Quinn Mann officiating. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

Thank you to Unity Hospice and the Jack and Engrid Meng Center for their gentle, compassionate care given to Dean and his family. Dean's daughters would like to thank their mom for her around-the-clock care that allowed dad to come home.
