David Lee Senechal, 89, New Franken, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024. He was born November 12, 1934, in Marinette to August and Isabel (Beziallon) Senechal.
David graduated from Marinette High School, Class of 1952. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines from 1954 to 1957. On May 8, 1964 he married Marcella Mogenson. Together they shared over 57 amazing years. David worked at Schrieber Foods where he received an electrician certification in 1981. David also taught dance and was a great cook. He loved watching any type of sport on TV. David enjoyed fishing, golfing, and a good drink. He had a strong and unwavering Catholic faith.
He is survived by children, Steve J. Senechal, Beckie Verhagen, Terry Senechal, Lonnie (Mayeth) Senechal, Michele Senechal-Saldaña, Jean E. (Dan) DeJardin; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; brother, Steve S. Senechal; sister, Dolores Behr; sisters-in-law, Alice Demke, Joyce VanCaster, Ruby Kohler, Darlene (Kevin) Hennessy, Sheri (Ken) Kox, Eva Mogenson, Marty Senechal, Deborah Senechal; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella; daughter, Debbi Smith; son, Tom Senechal; great-grandson, Tanner Harvey Paplham; parents, August and Isabel (Beziallon) Senechal; brother, Ed Senechal; sons-in-law, Umero Saldaña Sr., Ken LaMaide; sisters-in-law, Beverly (Tony) Romano, Jean Ellen Senechal; brothers-in-law, Ernest Mogenson Jr., Maury Behr, Herbert Demke; parents-in-law, Ernest and Jennie Mogenson.
Friends and family will gather at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3009 Bay Settlement Rd., from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:30 p.m. with Abbot Gary Neville, O.
