David "Dave" Rueben Staub, 77, Green Bay, went to his eternal home Monday, April 3, 2023. He was born September 13, 1945, at Lowry Air Force Base in Colorado to the late Rueben and Doris (Luedtke) Staub.
He was united in marriage to Karen Hansen on December 22, 1964, in Polar, WI.
David was a graduate of Shawano High School, Class of 1963. He served in the U.S. Navy after graduation for six years during the Vietnam War. After leaving the Navy he worked for Toledo Scale, Valley Scale and Lawton Foundry for many years.
He served as a Hunter Safety Instructor for over 35 years and shot in Trap and archery league competitions with friends for many years. He enjoyed and shared his love of fishing and hunting with family and friends. He shared his love of the outdoors with his sons, nephews and grandchildren by camping, fishing and hunting with them.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his children Kevin (Kim) and Daniel (Melissa); grandchildren, Remington, Savanna, Katie Jo; three siblings, Randall (Rita) of Alvin, Judy Pahlow of Shawano, and Jeffrey (Sherry) Staub of Oshkosh; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Mike) Mandli of Racine and Luann (Lance) of White Lake; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Donald Pahlow, Ronald Hansen; sisters-in-law, Emily Fofrich and Patricia Hansen; nephews, Rodger Hansen, Bradley Fofrich, and numerous uncles and aunts.
Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 10; Funeral Service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Wescott Lake Drive Cemetery, Shawano. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com .
