Obituary

Listen to Obituary

David "Dave" P. Bultman, 87, of Fish Creek, Wisconsin died on Monday, October 5, 2026 comfortably at home. He was born March 29, 1939, in Green Bay to Harry and Catherine (Sands) Bultman. He graduated from Premontre High School in 1957 and later earned an associate's degree in Fire Science from NWTC. Dave dedicated 27 years of service to the Green Bay Fire Department, retiring in 1992 as Staff Commander in charge of the Training Bureau.

A lifelong commitment to service extended well beyond his career. Dave generously volunteered his time and talents with numerous organizations, including Muscular Dystrophy, the Boy Scouts, Weidner Center, Green Bay Botanical Gardens, The Clearing Folk School, and the Ridges Sanctuary. He had a green thumb and enduring fascination with the natural world. Dave was an avid reader and enjoyed learning, working with his hands, and helping others discover something new. He was always at ease working on a dry stacked rock wall project or teaching a fossil class. Dave was a lifelong Packer fan, acquiring season tickets in 1958. He and his wife Marge were survivors of the 1967 Ice Bowl.

On October 7, 1967, Dave married Marge VandenHeuvel, beginning a devoted marriage spanning 59 years and building a life filled with family, friendships, community involvement, and countless memories.

Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Marge; his two children, Robert "Bob" Bultman of Baileys Harbor and Karey Debeck of Green Bay; his three grandchildren, Ryan (Jess) Debeck, Justin (Mackenzie) Debeck, and Wyatt Bultman; his great-grandchildren, Cecelia and Sylvie; and his brother, Don (Nancy) Bultman of Dallas, Texas.

Dave will be remembered for his dedication to his community, his love of nature, his willingness to share his knowledge and the many friendships he formed throughout his life. His generous spirit, quiet determination and passion for helping others left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of service, craftsmanship, and a life well lived.

Friends and family will gather at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Dr., from 9am to 11am on Saturday, October 24; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11am. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Jaslowski and Green Bay Oncology as well as the Unity Hospice Team for their compassionate care, kindness, and support.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dave's memory to Green Bay Botanical Garden or The Clearing Folk School of Ellison Bay.
