Connie Lynn Peters, 62, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband and two children. She was born on June 2, 1964, to Ray and Dorothy (Fraker) Wickman.

Connie was born into a large family and was the first daughter after three boys. She was later joined by her two sisters, who became her best friends. On September 10, 1988, she married the love of her life, Dennis Peters.

Family was Connie's greatest joy, and she was the heart and cornerstone of those she loved. She was always willing to help, offer encouragement, or lend a listening ear. She adored her children and her beloved puppy sidekick, Sammy. Connie fought so hard to earn the cherished title of "Nana," and meeting her grandchildren, Harrison and Grace, brought her immeasurable happiness. They quickly became the light of her life.

Connie loved traveling and spending time with family and friends, but she was just as content at home. She found joy in quiet rainy days, sitting outside in the sunshine with a cup of coffee, planting flowers, and making memories with those she loved. She never turned down a road trip, a day on the boat, or any opportunity to bring happiness to her family.

For 18 years, Connie lovingly operated an in-home daycare, where she cared for countless children as if they were her own. Later, she found great fulfillment helping students with special needs at Meadowbrook Elementary School.

Connie's life was filled with faith, kindness, and sunshine. She attended services at Green Bay Community Church and found strength and comfort in prayer throughout her life. Strong-willed and resilient, her faith was her foundation. She was a source of strength for so many, bringing people together with her compassion, generosity, and radiant smile that could truly light up a room. Everyone who met Connie remembered her beautiful smile and the warmth, comfort, and love she so freely shared.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis; her children, Kailyn (Peter) Wykhuis and Brandt Peters; her grandchildren, Harrison and Grace; her siblings, Kevin (Sue Anne) Wickman, Michael (Lori) Wickman, Brian (Kim) Wickman, Marcia (Jerry Kaputa) Wickman, and Anne (Donald) Graham; Dennis' siblings and their families; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Dorothy Wickman; her parents-in-law, Joseph and Rita Peters; her brother-in-law, Tom Peters; her nephew, Austin Parks and her beloved dog, Sammy "Bubblehead."

Friends and family will gather at Green Bay Community Church, 600 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay, WI, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Friday, August 14, 2026, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. Connie's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her Froedtert Oncology team and the staff at Bellin Hospital for their care, kindness, and support throughout her courageous 12-year journey with cancer. Though cancer claimed her earthly body, it never diminished her spirit, her faith, or the love she shared so freely. She is now healed, at peace, and home in Heaven.
