Charles "Charlie" Paine, 86, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025. He was born November 24, 1938, in Traverse City, Michigan to Dr. Emory and Helen (Bradbury) Paine.

Charlie married Carolyn Anderson and together they spent many wonderful years. She preceded him in death on June 20, 2024. Charlie worked as an environmental engineer for several paper companies in the Green Bay area. He had a strong passion for the outdoors, enjoying bicycling, canoeing, hiking, skiing, and mountain climbing. Charlie was a strong supporter of the Sierra Club. He was a dedicated father participating in Boy and Girl scouts when his children were young. After his retirement he became very involved with the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

Charles is survived by his three children, Chris (Carrie) Paine, Cheryl Paine, Cirsten (Jason Becker) Paine; grandchildren, Tony (Ashley) Konetzke, Charlie (Britt) Konetzke, Bryan (Krista) Paine, great granddaughter Ava Rose Konetzke; nieces, nephews, and many family friends and loved ones.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; grandson, Bryce Paine; sister, Marjorie (Paul) Hicks.

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 22; Celebration of Life Service to follow at 3 p.m. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
