Carolyn L. Whitcomb, 79, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023. She was born August 7, 1944, in Green Bay to Lloyd and Bernice (LaTour) Daniels.

Carolyn married John "Jack" Gussert. He preceded her in death in 1965. She married Dcn. Patrick Whitcomb on July 1, 1967, at Annunciation Catholic Church. Carolyn was a woman of strong faith. She was the religious education director at St. Jude Parish for 25 years and Christian Faith Formation director for nine years at Prince of Peace. Carolyn liked to garden, was an avid reader, and enjoyed weekly dinners with friends. Most of all she loved being with her family. Carolyn will always be a beloved mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, John (Jayne) Whitcomb, Greg (Hyon Chong) Whitcomb, Heather (Larry) Gordon; grandchildren, John Jr., Matthew, Timothy, Margret, Brandon, Kristopher, Charles; six greatgrandchildren; sister, Ernestine Purrman; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Dcn. Patrick Whitcomb; parents, Lloyd and Bernice; sisters, Rosemary, Kathleen, Lois; infant brother, Lloyd Jr.

Friends and family will gather at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 9th St., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, December 11; The Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ron Belitz presiding.
