Carolyn 'Cary' D. Tolkacz, 77, Hobart, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 after a 4 year battle with cancer. She was born on February 4, 1948 in Wisconsin to Elmer and Ellen (Sherwood) Kulick.

Cary went to Holy Ghost Grade School, Milwaukee Lutheran High School and University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She was also a member of Alpha Phi Sorority.

She met and married Donald Tolkacz on April 11, 1970. In 1972 the couple moved to Hillsboro, WI. Eventually they moved back to Oshkosh and then ultimately moved up to the Green Bay area. Through all the years together, Cary was always so supportive of Don's changes in jobs and activities. With the final move to Green Bay, she got an additional companion, Boston, her beloved cat.

Cary was employed primarily in the banking industry and retired in 2010. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, loved going to Packer games and planning the tailgate food! Cary also enjoyed downhill skiing, going on River Cruises, spending time at the family home in Minocqua and traveling with Don. Together they traveled Europe, Florida and many times to Boston, to see their granddaughter, Sydney.

Cary was an amazing mom, which made her a fantastic grandma. While her two boys were growing up, she was heavily involved in their schooling and various activities. When her granddaughter Sydney was born, her heart became more than full. She had such a deep love for Sydney and loved every moment spent with her.

She is survived by her husband, Don; sons, Don Tolkacz Jr., Christopher and his partner, Sarah DeRosa; her granddaughter, Sydney Tolkacz; a sister, Nancy Beer; and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, many friends, especially, Pam Netzer.

Cary was preceded in death by her parents; Don's parents, Ed (Dolores) Tolkacz; an infant son, John Tolkacz; a sister, Marilyn Kulick; and her brother-in-law, Robert Beer.

A Memorial Fund has been established in Cary's name for donations to be made to HSHS Oncology Department.

Visitation will be held at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 12 – 3:00 p.m. The Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
