Mrs. Carole Ann Lietzow, age 82, formerly of Green Bay, WI went home to our Lord on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12, 2024 in Mesa, AZ. Carole passed peaceful with her family by her side. She was born on April 8, 1942, in Green Bay to Anthony and Bernice Williams. Carole graduated from East High School in 1960. She was one of the original Green Bay Packerettes back when the Packers were still playing at the East High School Stadium.  After graduation Carole went to work at Red Owl Grocery Store on Velp Avenue. It was there that she met Melvin Lietzow. They were married on June 2, 1962 at St. John the Baptist Church in Howard. Carole dedicated her life to her family and church. In 1985 she donated a kidney to her husband Mel. In 1986, she started working as a housekeeper at St. Jude Parish and for Fr. Jim Samter. In addition to working at St. Jude, she was also on the Worship and Development Committee, lector, Eucharistic Minister, treasurer of the Women's Club and sang with the Spirit Singers Choir. In 1994, Carole and Mel bought a condo in Mesa, AZ and started "snow birding." Carole continued to spend her winters in AZ and her summer's in Green Bay even after Mel's death in 1999.  She enjoyed cleaning and had a private housekeeping business in Mesa and Green Bay. Carole continued to be active at both her parish in Mesa as well as the Quad City Parishes in Green Bay until her health declined in 2020 due to pulmonary fibrosis.

Carole was a cheerful and giving spirit. Always an optimist and was known as the "energizer bunny" by her friends and family. She had a perpetual smile and loved to shop.  If asked, pink was her favorite color but she wore a variety of rainbow colors. Her favorite hobbies were golf, cards, board games, sunbathing, potlucks, parties and reading.

She is survived by her 2 children, Lynette (Eric) Roudebush, Tucson, AZ and Laurette "Laurie" Lietzow (Ed Poon), Mesa, AZ; 3 grandchildren, Alyssa, James and Jessica Roudebush; 3 siblings, Sr. Joanne Williams (Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross) Allouez, Allen (Mary Jo) Williams, Howard, Mary (Joseph) Boncher, Scottsdale, AZ; 1 sister-in-law Dolly (Glen) Williams, Howard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin "Mel" Lietzow on September 30, 1999, her parents and brother Glen.
