Bonnie Whiting, 75, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2026. She was born February 25, 1951, in Green Bay, to Ray and Donna (Walschinski) VandenPlas.

Bonnie married the love of her life, Bob Whiting in 1973 and they celebrated 50 years of marriage. Together they enjoyed traveling and drove throughout the country visiting family and friends along the way. Whenever a family member moved away, it was an excuse to visit a new place. You could find her and Bob at JR's, Simonet's and Cropsey's socializing with friends and picking up their numbers. A priority was attending family celebrations including birthdays, holidays, and reunions. Her love for her family and especially the babies was truly unconditional. She retired early from her accounting position at Krueger Metal Products to be a caregiver to her many nieces and nephews, who could always find a cozy place to nap in her arms.

She is survived by her siblings, Barb Schleis, Bob (Gayle) VandenPlas, Patti VandenPlas, Dick (Janet) VandenPlas, Sheri (Linda Ascher) VandenPlas; siblings-in-law, Sue (Mark) Anderson, Mary (Russ) Luepke, Kay Mahloch, Jodi Whiting; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents, and many siblings-in-law.

Friends and family will gather at St. Joseph Parish, corner of Ninth St. and 12th Ave., from 9:30 to 11:00 am on Saturday, November 7; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am. Entombment will be at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

A special thank you is extended to her friend Nikki for making Bonnie's time at Grancare enjoyable. Lastly, to Bonnie's great niece, Jenny Peterson, thank you for all the special time spent with Bonnie and being her best supporter. You were truly a blessing in her life.
