Blanche Leone Eckers, 98, passed to her eternal home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Blanche was born on June 18, 1927 to George and Harriet (Denissen) Albers and was the youngest of seven children.
On July 19, 1947, she was united in marriage to Jerome "Jerry" C. Eckers. Together they raised their six children. Blanche was an avid card player and always had a deck close by for a game of cribbage, sheepshead, or solitaire. While at St. Paul Manor, she became a "legendary" bingo player, winning many prizes! Blanche also liked to test her luck at casinos. Upon retirement, Jerry and Blanche moved from Green Bay to Cloverleaf Lakes where they enjoyed many years on the lake. Blanche liked to golf, garden, and fish, as well as host many family gatherings.
Blanche is survived by her children, Kathy (Jim) Ollmann, Tom (Cathy) Eckers, Terry (Jean) Eckers, Jill (John) Van Veen, Tim (Kelly) Eckers, Todd (Patty) Eckers; grandchildren, Jennifer, Julie, Laura, Nick, Stacey, Jaimee, April, Erin, Meaghan, Charlie, Stan, Wendy, David; 22 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews from both the Albers and Eckers family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Harriet; husband, Jerry; siblings, Helen (Norbert) VanVonderen, Katherine (Francis) DuPuis, Clem (Grace) Albers, Eugene (Mary) Albers, Marie (Robert) Denissen, Adele (Robert) Collaer; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Milton and Lillian Eckers; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald (Betty) Eckers.
Friends and family will gather at St. Thomas the Apostle - Luxemburg, 5930 Humbolt Rd, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 26; Mass to follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Patrick C. Beno officiating.
