Beverly Jean (Armstrong) Brooks, 88, died on Monday July 3rd, 2023. She is the daughter of the late Clarence and Eva (Rosera) Armstrong. Beverly was, born January 21, 1935, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
After graduating from Green Bay West High School in 1952, she was employed at Wisconsin Public Service and the Brown County Clerk's Office, and later at Annunciation Church, Jefferson School, and Green Bay Public Schools. Beverly "Bev" and John "Jack" Brooks were married on May 12, 1956, at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Green Bay. They were happily blessed with six children. Beverly served for many years at Annunciation Parish, St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center, St. Vincent de Paul, and BirthRight. Camping, picnics, and fishing were fun when the kids were young. Later, Jack built a cabin up north where they came together often celebrating with friends and family. Beverly loved gardening and all things nature. She dearly loved her family, and it was such a blessing that she had a deep impact in her grandchildren's life.
Bev is survived by her husband, Jack, their six children and their spouses, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren: Becky Brooks, Minneapolis, MN, Brian Brooks, Green Bay, WI, Barbara (Tom) Murphy/ Moore, La Farge, WI and their children: Cally (Erik) Johnson, Deep Haven, MN; Jack (Caroline) Murphy, Elm Grove, WI, Erin Moore, Minneapolis, MN, Bridget Murphy, Astoria, Oregon, Bill (Miyuki) Brooks and their daughter Airi Brooks, Nagoya, Japan, Mary Beth (Jeff) Cross and their two sons Schuyler and Joseph Aurora, Colorado, and Elizabeth (Wayne) Chmiel Wind Lake, WI, and their two children Tim (Kiera) Chmiel, Milwaukee, WI and Katie Chmiel Tempe, Arizona. She is further survived by two brothers Thomas Armstrong and James (Christine) Armstrong, her sisters in law Helen Jean Rentmeester, and Mary Ellen Maes, her brothers in law David (Janet) Brooks and James (Barbara) Brooks
She was preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws, Bernard and Mathilda Brooks, and two grandsons Christopher Chmiel and Sean Brooks as well as her brothers Robert, John, and William, and sister's-in-law Marguerite "Muggs" Armstrong, Carol (Brooks) and Jim Hendricks, Dorothy (Brooks) and Tom Michalski, Ronald Rentmeester, and James Maes.
Friends may call at Annunciation Catholic Church, 401 Gray St., from 10:00 to 11 a.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev.
