Betty A. Hintz, 96, Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025. She was born April 17, 1928, in Hintz, WI to Robert and Elma (Pehlke) Hintz.

At 16, Betty moved to Green Bay and worked at Larson Canning Co., Kraft Foods, and for Mrs. Ward Coffrin taking care of their children, and cooked meals for Dr. And Mrs. E.G. Nadeau.

In 1951 she moved to Minneapolis to attend North Central Bible College and graduated in 1954. During this time, she worked in the school cafeteria and then managed the food service department until 1972. Betty also worked part time at Hennepin County Hospital for 16 years. During the summer months, Betty did child evangelism and vacation bible school. She enjoyed chalk artistry with several gospel-singing groups as they ministered in churches.

In 1972, Betty began working at Portland Residence as a food service manager. They had 100 adult residents. She worked there for 26 years. Betty moved back to Green Bay in 1998. She liked to fish, travel, visiting with relatives, as well as attending church and participating in church activities.

Betty is survived by her nieces and nephews, Becky (Jay) Giese, James "Abe" (Tracy) Axelson, Lori (Tom) DeGrave, Sandra Zingler, Richard Lambert, Charles Lambert, Wayne Hintz, Debbie Van Ells, Boyd Philippi, Darwin Hintz, Pam Frakes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elma; siblings, Gordon (Lorraine) Hintz, Howard (Helen) Hintz, Forrest Hintz, Robert Hintz, Phyllis (Lyle) Lambert, Orpha (Joseph) Phillippi and Jackie (Roger) King; nieces, Bonnie Larson, Kay Kellar, Wanda Collins; nephew, Douglas Hintz.

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 3:00 p.m. To 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 14; Memorial service to follow at 4:30 p.m. Inurnment will be in Underhill Cemetery, Gillett, WI. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
