Barbara Ann Harris was called to her heavenly home on April 11, 2023. She was born April 29, 1962, in Chicago, IL, the fourth child born to Letty Ann Harris (John Smith).

Barbara grew up in St. Louis where she accepted Christ at an early age. Barbara spent her teenage years working at a local Pizza Hut and assisted at a daycare. Barbara would go on to graduate from Normandy High School with honors.

Barbara would move to Chicago where she gave birth to two beautiful children: Lasondra Harris and Taurean Harris. She fell in love with Bennie Mason shortly after and they would spend the next 20 years together. Within those 20 years Barbara was employed as a teacher's aide/ substitute teacher for CPS where she was loved by many of her students and fellow staff. Barbara would later move to Green Bay Wisconsin with her husband Cleo Mitchell and work at Walmart. Barbara lived out her days in Wisconsin where she found peace.

Barbara Ann Harris was preceded in death by her sister, Lovese Harris(2012); brother, Paul Harris (2022); and ex-husband Bennie Mason (2016).

Barbara was survived by her husband Cleo Mitchell; children LaSondra Harris and Taurean Harris and a bonus daughter LaShonda Carradine (Devin Dallas nephew); three grandchildren, Devne', Darius, Daniel and a great grandson Marai. Barbara is also survived by three brothers, Earnest McKinnely Jr, Alexander Smith, and Derrick Smith; three nieces/sisters, Terrina Lacey, Sherelle Lacey, and Dominique Davis; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
