Audrey M. Daanen, a cherished wife, mother and friend and a beacon of strength, love, and wit, passed away on January 24, 2024. Audrey and Milton Daanen were married on February 12th, 1955 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Wauwatosa, WI.   Her life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and adventure.

Together with her beloved husband, Milton, who preceded her in death, Audrey co-ran the Out of Town Supper Club in Kaukauna for nearly three decades. This establishment became a favored locale, woven into the fabric of the community. Their entrepreneurial spirit and warm hospitality left an indelible mark on all who visited.

After this, Audrey and Milt relocated to the beautiful landscapes of Door County, where they joyfully spent the next 25 years. There, they embraced the beauty of each season, indulging in their shared passions for boating and snowmobiling, and enjoying each other while continuing their work in the hospitality industry.  Following Milt's passing in 2013, Audrey moved to Green Bay to be closer to family.

Audrey's formidable spirit was matched by her devotion as a wife and mother and her strong Catholic faith. Her sense of adventure was experienced by all who knew her, and her witty humor brightened the lives of those around her. She found delight in the clink of an Old Fashioned, the strategic play of dominoes, and the joy of a family meal shared around the table.

Audrey's legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life well-lived. Her memory will continue to inspire and comfort all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of her family, friends, and the community she so dearly loved.

Audrey is survived by her children, Debbie (Keith Valentyne) Daanen, Gregg (Karen) Daanen, Jeff (Amy) Daanen, Carrie (Karl Tourville) Daanen; grandchildren, Danielle (Sean) Crystal, Derek Daanen, Brandon Daanen, Emmah Daanen, Ally Daanen, Isabelle Callahan, Rachel Callahan, Caroline Callahan; great-grandchildren, Lily, Elijah, Raelyn, Hayden, Blakely.
