Audrey Ann Calba, 89, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2022. The daughter of the late John and Lenore (Checota) Neumeier was born in Townsend, Wisconsin on April 5, 1933.
Audrey was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy, Class of '51. She went on to nursing school and became an LPN . Audrey worked at Grancare Nursing Center before retiring in 1998. Audrey met the love of her life, Roger Calba at Bay Beach at the summer dances just before their sophomore year of high school. They married on Oct. 8, 1955 and shared 56 incredible years together before Roger passed on August 30, 2012.
Audrey enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. She was an avid walker and could be seen regularly strolling through her neighborhood.
Audrey and Roger were blessed with five children who made them very proud.
Survivors include three daughters, Lisa (Tom) Kuntz, Ennis, MT and their children, Nathan (Jamie), Loveland, CO and Michael (Lindsay) Brentwood, TN; Ann (Mike) Milligan, Tomahawk, WI and their children, Katie Miller (Brett) Green Bay and Claire, Wauwatosa, WI ; Sara Gilmartin, Oak Ridge, TN and her children, Todd (Anna), Knoxville, TN and Megan, St. Simon's Island, GA; as well as great grandchildren, Reagan, Kennedy, Jackson, Carter, Mae, Hannah, and Andrew.
Audrey was preceded in death by her daughter, Laurie Ann in 1961 and son, Todd in 1983. She also was preceded by her parents, John and Lenore Neumeier; brother, Eugene; Roger's parents, Earl and Amanda Calba; Roger's brother, Norval, and son-in-law Gary Gilmartin.
Friends may gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave. on Thursday, August 18 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. A memorial service for Audrey will be held at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park. To send online condolences, please visit www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com .
The family would like to thank the staff at Milestone Senior Living in Tomahawk, WI, Home Instead in Green Bay, and Audrey's neighbors, Ed and Diane Erickson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Audrey's memory to Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary or Green Bay Botanical Gardens.
