Arlyne Rose (Gerondale) Rowe, 87, Green Bay, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023. She was born November 5, 1935, in Sturgeon Bay, WI to Eugene and Rose (Schaefer) Gerondale.
Arlyne grew up in a small home called Twin Acres located in Sturgeon Bay with her three brothers and one sister. The family relocated to Green Bay where she graduated from St. Joseph's Academy, Class of 1954. After graduation she and her sister worked at the Telephone Company. Through her sister's boyfriend, Don she was introduced to John aka "Lambchops" Rowe. Arlyne married John "Jack" Rowe on June 13, 1959 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church; a marriage of the purest love, strength and respect. Together they had four children. Arlyne took care of Jack, as his Parkinsons Disease progressed. He preceded her in death on June 08, 2007.
She enjoyed traveling and visited Europe with her sister-in-law, Joyce. Arlyne's love for adventure led her to take an Alaskan cruise, visit Hawaii, Jamaica, and Disney World where she rode roller coasters! When she wasn't traveling, she liked to spend time on "God's lil' Acre" in Forest County, WI. She was always having fun and was a fun person to be with and be around her great sense of humor. Arlyne prided herself with never getting a speeding ticket, but didn't mean she didn't speed. She enjoyed her card club with a group of girlfriends where they would pass around a single cigarette. Arlyne enjoyed painting and started in her 70's. She loved to bring joy to others and always tried to brighten others days.
She is survived by her children, Cary Rowe, Marty Rowe, Amy (David) Bauknecht, Diane (Dean Baumgartner and his children, Peter and Teresa) Wessel; nine grandchildren, Hilary Rowe, Emily Rowe, Mackenzie Rowe, Miranda Molland, Mason Molland, Amanda Bauknecht, Adam Bauknecht, Tom (Anna Gosz) Wessel, Sam (Rees) Kopecky; one great-grandchild on the way; a sister, Sue (Don) Aerts; brothers-in-law, Mike (Joyce) Rowe, Rob (Patty) Rowe; nieces, nephews, and friends.
Arlyne was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Eugene and Rose; 3 brothers, Marvin (Gladys) Gerondale, Norman (Vi) Gerondale and Darrell "Butch" Gerondale.
