Arleen F. (Harteau) Duchateau, 95, Green Bay, was called to rest peacefully with her family by her side Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Jack and Engrid Meng Unity Hospice Center. She was born on October 9, 1927 in Green Bay to Everett and Mae (Smith) Harteau. Arleen graduated from Green Bay East High School with the class of 1945. On September 14, 1946 Arleen married Fred J. Duchateau. Together with their family, they enjoyed time at their cottage on Lee Lake. Both she and Fred enjoyed volunteering at Annunciation and St. Jude Parishes.
Arleen enjoyed cooking and baking, and you would never leave her loving home hungry. If you received a gift from her, you knew that she hand-picked the gift and designed the box and card. She sure knew how to make anyone feel special. She enjoyed playing bridge with her dear friends. Arleen had impeccable taste in her stylish fashion.
Arleen is survived by her four children, Steve (Beatsy) Duchateau, Karen McDonald (Tom Deuster), Tina DeWindt (Steve Frisque), Lorri Kornowski (Kurt Goodreau); seven grandchildren, Zach Duchateau (Kiley Hepburn), Josh Duchateau, Nicole (Ken) Marzec, Lindsey (Nick) Ripp, Kirk DeWindt (Jess Peterson), Talon (Zach) Rindels, Cole (Megan) Kornowski, "the other grandson", Jay Deuster; great-grandchildren, Angela, Kyla "Bug", Micah, Jonah, Lucah, Nya, Mila, Koda, Malachi, Myles. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Sis (Leonard) Zasada; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Fred; a granddaughter, Heather DeWindt; her parents, Everett and Mae Harteau; siblings, Ruth (Jerry) Simons, Edith (Melvin) Schoen, Gladys (Rollie) Cavil, June (George) Simkunas, Donald (Ilse) Harteau.
Friends may call at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Arleen's name.
