Anthony A. "Tony" Kocken of Green Bay, WI and Kissimmee, FL, beloved husband of the late Sue Kocken, departed this life on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

Tony was born on March 3, 1947, in West De Pere and was the oldest son of the late Albert and Marlene Kocken. He grew up on a farm in Hobart which nurtured his strong work ethic and deep family values. He was drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam era, patriotically reported for duty at Ft. Campbell only to be sent home because of polio's effect on him.

He graduated from Abbot Pennings High School in 1965. Tony received an associate degree at NWTC and began his accounting career for Schreiber Foods. At age 35, he returned to higher education at St Norbert College and completed his bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting. Tony worked at VDH Electric as their accountant for 35 years.

Since a young boy, he loved playing softball; he was also an avid bowler, hunter, and golfer. Tony was very proud of his many eagles; but disappointed his hole-in-one was not witnessed, and that he inadvertently backed over his clubs not once, but twice. He exuded passion, competitiveness and camaraderie with his fantasy baseball and football leagues. He was a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus for over 50 years.

He married his beloved Sue (Johnson/Cordle) in 1991 at St. Jude Catholic Church, and generously, lovingly, and faithfully embraced her and her young boys as if his own. After his retirement, he loved being a snowbird, permanently escaping Wisconsin winters with Sue to their condo in Florida until her passing in 2020.

Tony thoroughly enjoyed his last few years at Kissimmee Bay with his wonderful "sweetheart" Barb Norton and their many friends, especially his golf buddies, the "Golden Boys".

He loved being a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by 'as if his own' sons, Benjamin Cordle of Sobieski and Christopher (Jennifer) Cordle of Cypress, TX; and his grandchildren, Aiden, Ella, and Faith. He also leaves behind his brothers, Glen (Paula) Kocken, Dennis (Peggy) Kocken, Jeff (Chris) Kocken, and Frank (Cindy) Kocken; his brother-in-law, Arnie Roemaat; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Darrell) Freeman, and Carol (Tom) Vandenbusch; long-time friend, Paul (Pope) Jansen; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors. He will also be missed by his goldendoodle and best buddy, Kessie.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Marlene Kocken; his sister, Joan Roemaat; his mother and father-in-law, Arthur and Ann Johnson, along with his grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

Friends and family will gather at St. Jude Parish, 1420 Division St., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 26; Mass to follow at 11 a.m. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

In lieu of flowers, Tony requested donations be made to the Salvation Army.
