Ann Lillian Markon, 97, Green Bay, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024. She was born June 2, 1926, in Escanaba, MI to Steve and Barbara (Boldin) Rozich.
Ann was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Escanaba. She went on to complete nurses training at St. Mary's School of Nursing in Green Bay. Ann later attended St. Mary of Nazareth School of Anesthesia where she met her future husband, Anthony "Tony" G. Markon. On June 23, 1951, they were married at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Escanaba, MI. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2014. She worked for Oconto County Public Health for over 20 years as a home health nurse. Ann and Tony traveled extensively in the U.S. and later settled in Green Bay to be with their family.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth A. Markon, Barbara J. (William) Dahlenburg, Gregory A. (Maureen) Markon, Ann Marie Markon; grandchildren, Samuel Dahlenburg, Zachary Dahlenburg, Elise (Lon) Bushweiler, Anthony (Stacey) Markon; step-grandchildren, Michelle Dahlenburg, Angela (Isaac) McLean, Brett (Rachel) Dahlenburg; great-grandchildren, Jace, Claira, Hazel, Eleanor; step-great-grandchildren, Ivan, Victor, Natalia, Lily; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; parents, Steve and Barbara; siblings, Steve Rozich, Mary (Andrew) Kleido; and Anthony's siblings.
Friends and family will gather at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 20; Memorial Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Oconto Catholic Cemetery. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bellin Health Foundation/Bellin Health Oconto Hospital in honor of Ann.
