Amy Clare (Schweitzer) Grant, 31, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at her home in Taylorsville, KY with her loving family at her side.  She fought a long, hard battle with a rare cancer. She was born October 5, 1991, in Green Bay to John and JoAnn (Schueller) Schweitzer.

Amy graduated from Bay Port High School. She went on to college at UW – LaCrosse, UW – Green Bay, and UW – Madison. Amy worked for GiGi's Cupcakes in Madison and as a Registered Dietician and Food Service Manager at Winnebago Mental Health Facility. Amy loved to cook, and bake creative items. She especially loved making Liam's birthday as special for him as possible, including beautiful cakes for him.   Amy loved making special cupcakes for family and friends, as well as decorating cookies with her mom. Amy was passionate about biking with her husband and son, gardening and using fresh herbs in her cooking. At a younger age she enjoyed hunting and going fishing with her dad and brothers Adam & Aaron. Amy had a special spark for life, her laughter and kind heart were priceless gifts to all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; son, Liam; parents, John and JoAnn; siblings, Adam (Caitlyn), Auburn, WA,  Aaron (Caitlin), Hartland, WI; mother-in-law, Paulette LeBlanc (partner, Rhéault Dumas); grandfather, John E. Schweitzer; nieces and nephew, Emmett, Sylvie and Emilia; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Amy was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Dolores Schueller, Darlene Schweitzer, Antoine and Albertine LeBlanc.

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 5; followed by Parish Wake Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., (The entrance is directly across from BP gas station on Glendale Ave.) from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at noon.
