Alice Laverne (Engels) Gerondale, 98, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 26, 2023. She was born March 19, 1925, to the late Bill and Marion Engles.

Alice attended Saint Willebrord Grade School and graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1943. After her father's death, Alice was raised by Marion and Don McMasters along with her younger sister, Betty. In June 1947 Alice married Elmer Gerondale. They settled in Kaukauna, WI where they opened Gerondale Bakery. After the bakery Alice and Elmer moved to Green Bay and started Gerondale Construction. Alice worked two jobs maintaining the company books and working as a Fashion Adviser at H.C. Prange Company.

Alice loved painting flowers and painted them on everything including doors, cabinets, and tables. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, cooking for her family, and playing the organ. She was very proud of being self-taught on the organ. Alice also loved to watch the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers. She and Elmer spent many years as members of the local Elks club. She and Elmer retired and built their dream home in Three Lakes, WI. She loved to volunteer at St. Theresa's Thrift Shop in Three Lakes.

A proud Mother and Grandmother, Alice's family was the heart of her world.

She is survived by her son, Gary (Patty) Gerondale; daughters, Sue (Tom) Wright, Pam (Paul) Short, Becky Rasmussen; grandchildren, Kim (Brad) Stoklasa, Jesse (Trisha) Wright, Ty (Ashley) Gerondale, Kip (Nan) Gerondale, Carrie Le Mere, Justin Rasmussen, Ellie (James) Smith, Tahlia (fiancé, Ian Basche) Hicks, Alex (fiancée, Jodee Taylor) Short, Eric Short, Stacy (Bryan) Hansen; 17 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Elmer; sister, Betty Barbeau.

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 9; Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
