Alice Jean Costello (Cox) completed her earthly journey on February 29, 2024. Alice was born in Rowan County KY on May 26, 1930, to Chester Alan and Maude (Quesinberry) Cox. Her family of origin eventually settled in Alvin Township, WI.

She married Benjamin Costello in June of 1953 and they had four daughters, Patty, Kathy, Maureen and Colleen. Although they eventually divorced, Alice and Ben remained lifelong friends.

Alice had a quiet but adventurous spirit which led her to enjoy traveling overseas. She especially enjoyed Israel and Ireland.

Her favorite times were spent at the collective family cabins near the homestead in Alvin with her siblings.

She was an excellent seamstress and worked at Northwest Fabrics and the fabric department at Walmart West in Green Bay, retiring when she was 72.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Wade) Williams, Maureen Baugnet, Patty (Roger) Arnoldi; grandchildren, Heather (Tim) Effert, Steven Pokorny, Eva (Josh LeClaire) Gegare; great-grandchildren, Bailey (Kaitlyn) Stollberg, Elijah (Alli) Effert, Cali (Dakota) White, Abby Gegare, Aiden Gegare, Aislinn Gegare, Celia Pokorny; great-great-grandchildren, Georgia, Everly. She is further survived by her siblings, Patti (Harrison) Benjamin, Clarice McCrossen, Chet Jr. (Nancy) Cox; and many nieces, nephews, and friends, whom she loved as her own.

Alice was preceded in death by her daughter, Colleen; parents, Maude and Chester; siblings, Janet, Adolf; and the father of her children, Benjamin Costello.

Visitation will be at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., on Thursday, March 7 from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m.  The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marian Boyle officiating.
