It is with heavy hearts we share the news that our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Agnes M. Lepak, age 97, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, surrounded and supported by her loving family.
Agnes was born on August 25, 1927 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to William Becks Sr. and Ida (Demain) Becks. Agnes attended Chappell School, St. Joseph School, and West High School. In her youth, she worked at several jobs including field work and at Krueger Sentry Gauge Company in Green Bay. On September16, 1950, she married Mitchell R. Lepak at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Green Bay and together they lovingly raised their family of six children. Agnes was a homemaker until all the children were in school, after which she worked at the Pranges Distribution Warehouse. After retirement from Pranges, she took a part-time job with the Green Bay Packers Pro Shop catalog department. While Mom worked for the Packers, we often wondered if there was anything left of her paycheck after all of the Packer gifts that she bought for Christmas, birthdays or" just because".
She was a woman of enormous faith who, with Mitch, taught their children to always keep God and family at the forefront of their lives. She and Mitch were founding members of St. Agnes parish and Agnes was a member of the Community of Christian Women and the Confraternity of The Most Holy Rosary Society. Agnes was a selfless person who humbled herself by always wanting the best for others. She would go to great lengths to help in any way she could. Having been raised in a family of 14 kids and having her own family of 6, Agnes absolutely loved family gatherings and was in her glory when her children and their families would get together. Times at the Crooked Lake cottage were especially precious to her and many wonderful memories were made there. Agnes also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, traveling with Judy and was a fan of the Packers and Brewers. Christmas was her special time of year, and she always went overboard on gifts and preparations.
Agnes is survived by her children and spouses: Michael (Barb) Lepak, Judy Lepak, Cindy (Dennis) Delie, Steven (Susan) Lepak, Jeff (Jennifer) Lepak, and Kim (Michael) Seering; 13 grandchildren: Jessica Lepak, Sarah (Chad) Peterson, John (Hollie) Lepak, Angela (Aaron) Wallender, Ben Delie and Amanda, Eric Delie, Nic Lepak, George Lepak, Hazel Lepak, Mitch Lepak and Debbie, Maria (Alec) Johnson, Isaac (Alexa) Seering, and Olivia Seering; 12 great-grandchildren: Micah, Annika, Britta, Malena, Nolan, Eden, Lennon, Hudson, Harrison, Hattie, Walter and baby boy Seering (due Jan 2025); sisters: Geraldine Phillips and Shirley Compton; brother: John Becks and Carol; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mitchell, an infant granddaughter; her parents; sisters: Laura (Clarence) Ringer, Betty Johnson, Irene (Merlin) Katers and Emerdine (Francis) Wesoloski; brothers: Harold (Helen) Becks, William (Mary) Becks Jr., Robert Becks, Walter Becks, Donald (Carol) Becks, and Ronald (Marjorie) Becks; father and mother-in-law John and Francis (Dutkiewicz) Lepak; brothers and sisters-in-law: Irvin Phillips, Randy Compton, Ed Lepak, Louis and Velma Lepak, Hattie Lepak, Connie and Windy Lepak, Tony and Pat Lepak, Mary and Les Vanden Avond, Virginia and Albert Baeb, Florian (Fritz) and Betty Lepak, Norb and Jean Lepak.
Friends and family will gather at St. Agnes Parish, 1484 Ninth St., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, October 11; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. Rev. Quinn Mann and Msgr.
