Alice M. Nicklas, 78, Green Bay, died Friday, October 23, 2015. She was born on December 13, 1936, in Green Bay to the late Edwin and Cecilia (Sinclair) Krause.

On May 8, 1954, Alice married Alfred Nicklas at St. John the Baptist Church, Howard. They lived in Abrams until 1974 when the family moved to Green Bay.

Alice was an LPN on 7th floor at St. Vincent Hospital. After her retirement she worked at Oneida Golf and Riding Club. Alice worked with Friends of Haiti medical mission packing medications, knitting caps, and making blankets for the babies in Haiti. She made blankets for Project Linus, the children at Shriner's Hospital, and the campers at Wisconsin Alliance Burn Camp. Alice belonged to St. Agnes Parish where she was the Greeters Coordinator for several years, and also helped clean the church. She also belonged to the St. Agnes Community of Christian Women. Alice volunteered at worked at St. Vincent de Paul. She participated in the Learning in Retirement programs at UWGB and enjoyed the classes and trips they took to various locations. Alice enjoyed being with her knitting friends and other special friends. She cherished most the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Alice is survived by two daughters: Jill Andrews, Portland, OR; Joan and (Todd) Borremans, Seymour and their children, Ken (Brandy) Borremans, great-grandchildren, Quentin, Abby, and Cameron, Weyauwega; Steven (Carie) Borremans, great- grandchildren, Clayton and Riley Borremans, Green Bay; her son, Tom (Betty) Nicklas, Beach Park, IL and grandsons, Matt, (Kathy) Tinley Park, IL; and Daniel Nicklas, Beach Park, IL; two brothers, Edwin (Patsy) Krause, Jeff (Marilyn) Krause; six sisters, Jean (Dick) Boyer, Carol Byng, Marlene Mullin, Mary (Terry) Renel, Sandy Krause, and Janet (Paul) Arcand.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Nicklas; a son, Marine LCPL David Nicklas; three brothers, Peter, Kenneth, and Richard Krause; and a sister, Susan Krause.

Friends may call St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Patrick C. Beno officiating.
