Bernice W. “Nieci” Gevaert, 91, Green Bay, died Thursday, July 12, 2012. She was born Aug. 12, 1920, in De Pere, to Bernard and Clara (Gevers) Kempen. Bernice was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed as much as she was loved. Her faith in God has sustained her for her entire life every day from morning prayers to her evening prayers.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Dennis and Toni Gevaert, Donna Tilkens, Sue and Pat Hickey, Sharon and Dirk Van Vuren; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two on the way; a brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Pat Kempen; a sister and brother-in-law, Rosanne and Dan Polley.
