John Milton Possley, 85, former resident of Upland, California and currently living at Marla Vista Gardens, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 8, 2012, following a long illness. He was born April 20, 1927, in the Town of Eaton, to the late Milton and Mary (Conrad) Possley. John joined the U.S. Army on June 20, 1951. He received his honorable discharge on June 25, 1953. John lived his entire adult life in sunny California, where he was an English teacher before retiring in June of 1986. He loved to travel the world during his summers off from teaching, as well as the years following his retirement.
John is survived by his two sisters, Marcella (Hal) Maloney, Dolores Kaisershot; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Possley, all of Green Bay; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marlyn VanderKelen, Evelyn Mickey; five brothers, Elwood, Russell, Alfred, Ralph and Darold Possley.
