David C. Thyes, 65, Green Bay, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, of natural causes. He was born Oct. 9, 1946, in Green Bay, to Clarence and Marion (Johnson) Thyes. David was a graduate of West De Pere High School, Class of 1964. Afterward he joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served on the Great Lakes. On May 10, 1974, David married Sharon Liska at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He worked as a chef for the Union Hotel, and was a truck driver for J.B. Hunt. David will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and a friend to all he met.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; his children and their spouses, Shane and David, Chad and Scott, Elisha and Brian; his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Don and Elaine Thyes, Tom and Janice Thyes, Gary and Sandy Thyes, Janet King, Carol Stevens and her special friend, Jim; his mother-in-law, Elsie Liska; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and his two dogs, “Ethan” and “Monti”.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
