Eric W. “Rick” Loch, 62, lifelong resident of Green Bay, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 after suffering for years with pain and depression.
He was born June 7, 1949 in Green Bay to Rona (Smits) Loch and the late Kenneth Loch. Rick served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. On Dec. 22, 1969, he married Linda Verhagen in Green Bay. Rick had been employed at Green Bay Packaging for many years. He was extremely handy and was known by his family and friends as “Mr. Fix It”. Most important to Rick during his life were his three granddaughters who always brought a smile to his face.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Linda; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Chad E. and Lisa Loch; Andrew J. Loch; three granddaughters, Michaela, Ashley, Jessica; his mother, Rona M. Loch; his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Christopher and Susan Loch, Matthew and Susan Loch, Toni Loch and her husband, Dave Patnode, Peter A. “Bucky” Loch, Gretchen Loch and her fiancé, Robert Haviland; his mother-in-law, LaVerne Verhagen; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Bill Sadler, Diane and Tom Paplham; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Loch and his father-in-law, George Verhagen.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. The Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Marian Boyle officiating. Burial will be in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
