Norman Kroner, 96, longtime Green Bay resident, died peacefully Tuesday September 13, 2011. He was born November 8, 1914 in Outagamie County to John and Agnes (Kailhofer) Kroner. On May 10, 1938, Norman was united in marriage to Irene Laskowski at St. John Catholic Church in Seymour. Together they enjoyed more than 67 years of marriage. Irene preceded him in death on January 18, 2006. Norman was employed for more than 26 years by the Milwaukee Cheese Company in the sales department. He retired in 1976. Norman was a longtime member of Annunciation Parish and was a member of the Holy Name Society. Norman was also a past member of the Knights of Columbus and bowled on their bowling team. Spending time with his family and playing cards brought great joy to Norman. He also looked forward to the vacations he took with his son to Arizona.
Norman is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sharon Kroner, Boulder, Colorado; two granddaughters, Jennifer Kroner, Hood River, Oregon, Stephanie Kroner, Boulder, Colorado; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Agnes and Robert Hein, Betty Zeismer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their families; many other relatives and friends.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife Irene, his parents, brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Annunciation Catholic Church, 401 Gray Street from 9:30 until 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Peter Renard O.Praem officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
